The movie is 10 sec long, but actually demonstrate 24 h in the life of Acidovorax citrulli ( a plant pathogen).

This is the edge of an Acidovorax citrulli colony on an agar plate. This time laps movie is 9 sec long (actual time is about 8 h) and shows bacterial cells migrating on the surface of the agar using type IV-mediated twitching motility. Great movie showing social movement of bacteria over solid surfaces
